Fundraising

The fundraising is also going well, we have raised over £8,000 so far for the Meningitis Trust with the help of our friends and family. We had a fundraiser in December which raised over £3000. We sold tickets, had an auction and all the musicians played for free. Manor Bakeries had a raffle and raised £160. Kate Preston sold cupcakes and raised £50 for Alder Hey, we have donated around £750 in total to Alder Hey's Parachute Fund. Lindsay Wood raffled some of her beautiful artwork. Gill Hopkins donated six lovely pendants she had made and we raised over £200 from auctioning them. St Peters Church in Swinton raised £180. I'm sure i have forgotten some so i apologise if i have missed anyone out.

We have a few things in the pipeline this year. A paintballing day has been donated to us which we are selling tickets for. We are also organising a charity cricket match in the summer with a celebrity team. We also have many lovely friends who are organising their own fundraisers for Charlie's fund.

Thanks to Sharon Burrows and Hullabaloo Kids who organised a Family Fun Day and facepainting and raised £100 for Charlie's Fund.

Cloth and Carry (www.clothandcarry.com) are now stocking the *Charlie Sling*. The colours of the sling have been chosen by me and $10 from every sling sold will be donated to the Meningitis Trust. Please visit this page for more details.

A friend of mine, Sian Sargent is running a half marathon on 20th March. If anyone would like to sponsor her then you can do so here http://www.justgiving.com/Sian-Sargent. All money raised is going to Charlie's Fund for the Meningitis Trust.
